Its a real pleasure to be a part of this epic hill farm renovation. Watching it come back to life with local materials and real local craftsmanship still being used is such a joy.
We worked with the clients to design a bespoke roof system that meets all modern codes whilst remaining in keeping with the character of the property. It features traditionally timber framed king post trusses made from some beautiful home grown oak (supplied by Whitney Sawmill). The joinery is held together with traditional oak pegs – no need for any metal fixings!
